FOME FLEX HYDRO DEFENCE Primer is a specially enhanced bituminous asphalt-rubber primer, modified with synthetic rubber and unique additives. This allows it to deeply penetrate and strengthen the surface, providing excellent adhesion and durability.

Surface preparation

The surface should be clean and even, dry, free of grease, oil, rust and other particles reducing adhesion, also without build-ups and mechanical damage.

Application

Primer should be applied by brush, paint roller. Mix well before use. Apply 1 coat, coverage approx. 0.2 kg/m2. Uneven surfaces can increase consumption. The works should be performed in good weather, at the ambient and the surface temperature between -20 oC and +35 oC. The product can be used at minus temperatures, but it must be at room temperature (kept for 1-2 days in a heated room).

Clean tools with bituminous cleaner or organic solvent.

Product is packaged in 9 kg pails. Store up to 18 months in originally sealed containers. Containers should be stored upright away from sources of fire and heating elements, in conditions which protect them from sunlight and weather. Can be stored at sub-zero temperatures. Allowable negative transport and storage temperature of -30 °C for a continuous period of 5 weeks. Allow 4 cycles of freezing and thawing at the allowable negative temperature.
