Window and Door Installation Foams
Specially formulated low-expansion mounting foams such as FOME FLEX ZERO PRESSURE W&D ELASTIC FOAM or FOME FLEX 7 DOORS&WINDOWS are used for window and door installation, ensuring strong fixation without distorting frames. Constant flexibility and low thermal conductivity ensure durability and excellent thermal insulation.
Fire-resistant Gun Foams
Fire-rated polyurethane foam like FOME FLEX FIRE BLOCK is designed to slow the spread of flames and smoke. It is used for filling joints and seams between hard mineral and metallic building materials and for insulation and installation of various elements (electrical wiring, fire doors, safes, etc.). Excellent for use in areas where foams are subject to increased fire resistance requirements.
Insulation Mounting Foams
Insulation mounting foams, i.e. FOME FLEX FAST CUT 75 L, offer excellent thermal and sound insulation performance, ensuring strong adhesion to common construction materials while improving overall building efficiency.
Usage Guide for PU Gun Type Foams
For best application results when using gun foam, follow these steps:
- Ensure that the surface is clean, free of dust and grease and moisten it (no need for moisture when the temperature is below zero)
- Shake the foam canister vigorously for at least 20 seconds
- Attach the dispensing gun securely to the canister
- Adjust the foam flow with the gun’s control valve
- Fill cavities up to 70% of their volume to allow for expansion
- Protect cured mounting foam from UV
In order to achieve the best results, before choosing the polyurethane (PU) gun foam, evaluate your needs and check product’s technical data sheets. Working temperature, thermal resistance, expansion needs, movement after curing – all of these conditions are important for the right choice of mounting foam.
