This asphalt-rubber primer strengthens your base surface while ensuring excellent adhesion for waterproofing layers. Its ability to work on damp substrates and metal surfaces makes it a reliable, year-round solution for roofing, foundation waterproofing, and corrosion protection.

Protect your construction projects with FOME FLEX HYDRO DEFENCE Primer — the durable, all-season primer for strong, long-lasting waterproofing and corrosion resistance.

Surface preparation

The surface should be clean and even, dry, free of grease, oil, rust and other particles reducing adhesion, also without build-ups and mechanical damage.

Application

Primer should be applied by brush, paint roller. Mix well before use. Apply 1 coat, coverage approx. 0.2 kg/m2. Uneven surfaces can increase consumption. The works should be performed in good weather, at the ambient and the surface temperature between -20 °C and +35 °C. The product can be used at minus temperatures, but it must be at room temperature (kept for 1-2 days in a heated room).

Works after completion of application

Clean tools with bituminous cleaner or organic solvent.

Remarks / restriction

When working, wear protective clothes, goggles and gloves.

DO NOT WASH HANDS WITH SOLVENTS.

  • The product contains organic solvent and should not be used indoors or outdoors in places having direct contact with residential zone, e.g. on balconies and terraces above ground level.
  • Avoid contact with tar and paper tar.
  • Do not use in contact with polystyrene foam.
  • Products is not intended both for food contact and medical applications. The products has not been tested nor submitted for acceptance tests and medical applications pharmaceutical.
  • Do not heat.
  • Do not use on building elements exposed to negative water vapour pressure (negative water vapour pressure), which may lead to detachment of the insulation or formation of blisters in the completed coating.
  • The completed coating should not be subjected to rope or point loads, as this may break the continuity of the insulation.
  • Recommended to conduct tests in an inconspicuous area.
